Who Am I?

My name is Senor Poopoo and I have been playing Roller Derby for 6 years now. I started with the Arizona Rattleskates back in 2012, where I was first known as “Eat da Poo Poo”. In the following years, the sport took over my world. Any free time I had was spent skating. I even started skating with the local WFTDA league and coaching the local Jr team. During the three years I was with the Rattleskates, I skated against many teams on the west coast including Puget Sound Outcast, BridgeTown Menace, and Drive By City Rollers.

In time the Rattleskates fell apart and there was no competitive Mrda scene in Az luckily just after this I had an opportunity to spend a Summer in Seattle. Here I joined Puget Sound and practiced with Rat City, Mob City and the Seattle derby brats. I've never skated more in my life, it was amazing. I skated In a few sanctioned bouts with them and then we went to champs were we came in 6th or 7th? I don't remember. It was fun.

Since then I have been Skating with Drive By, a team based in the LA area. My focus has become a lot less playing and a lot more about the community.

Thats why I started making Poo&Pals.

Poo&pals Intro

  So what is Poo&Pals?

We all have our favorite people in the Roller Derby Community. We have seen them skate, announce, NSO, DJ and many things in between, but what are they like off the track? Do they have other hobbies? Do they believe in ghosts? Are they a coffee or tea person? Well, the goal of Poo&Pals is to let their personality show somewhere off the track.

Poo&Pals is a video series in which I play video games alongside some well-known people from the derby community. While we play their preferred game, I ask whatever questions come to mind in the moment. The questions feature an assortment of topics from derby or food to super powers or dog names

Why play video games?

I’ve watched a lot of interviews which have felt rushed, tense, and overall uncomfortable. Bringing video games into my interviews helps release that tension. The games change the whole atmosphere of the video by creating a more comfortable “hangout”. They make it feel more like Pals having a casual conversation.
